  Blood Ink is currently available on Wattpad, where you can read it for free. Once it's released as an ebook, I'll take it off Wattpad. That could take a while though. Blood Ink will probably be a free download, since it's not very long and I hope it will serve as a gateway to some of the other "teen horror" titles that are in a similar vein. I'm currently writing a book set in 2003. This involves a fair amount of research, not just into recent history, but into the culture of the time. Which means a lot of time spent in the Wayback Machine. Digital archiving is a difficult project, and writing this book has exposed me to some of these difficulties. Although some of the references in this post are dated, due to the focus/nature of the research I'm doing, the problems are not. I try to bring in contemporary examples to drive the point home. Upcoming Projects: Deep Dreams, Instant Photography, Children in the Twilight Zone

This is a brief post about upcoming projects at Calhoun Press. Deep Dreams of Electric Sheep - It's been in the works for a while, but I'm sorting through submissions and will release a zine of deep dream images. It will probably only be available as a digital download. Instant Story - One-page zines that tell stories about instant (Polaroid, Instax mini, etc.) photographs. You will be able to buy the original (with the original photo attached), copies, or digital editions. Your Son is Not a Science Project - A zine about the current trend of diagnosing very young children...

Zines For Sale: Physical and Digital Zines, Available Now

New zines are now for sale on the Calhoun Press store. Here's a little bit of information about them, along with some photos and videos of the zines themselves.  Oahu in Black and White Oahu in Black and White is exactly what it says it is: a zine full of black and white images of Oahu, Hawaii's third largest and most populated island. These images showcase everything from the windward-side beaches to the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor.
